At a black-tie gala at NBCUniversal on February 23, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center leaders and supporters publicly launched the hospital’s fundraising campaign to expand its emergency services department for the community. Featuring cocktails, dinner and dancing, the vintage Hollywood-themed event also celebrated the generosity of the donors who have already helped the effort reach 73% of its goal.

Among the evening’s speakers were:

  • Michael Cusumano, Providence Saint Joseph Foundation Board Chair
  • Peter Lynch, Providence Health and Services Foundation Valley Service Area Board Chair and Providence Saint Joseph Foundation Board Member
  • Sister Sheila Browne, RSM, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center Mission Leadership Director
  • Toluca Lake residents Eric and Janet McCormack, Providence Saint Joseph Foundation Toluca Lake Committee Members
  • Kelly Linden, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center Chief Executive
  • Dr. Philip Schwarzman, Burbank Emergency Medical Group President
  • Dr. Angelique Campen, Emergency Services Campaign Physician Leader and Providence Saint Joseph Foundation Board Member
  • Dr. Celina Barba-Simic, Providence Saint Joseph Emergency Department Co-Medical Director
  • Dr. John Simic, Emergency Department Physician
  • Toluca Lake residents Ed and Murphy Romano, Minutes Matter Emergency Services Campaign Co-Chairs and Providence Saint Joseph Foundation Board Members
