On April 14, more than 50 friends and neighbors joined the Toluca Lake Garden Club at the home of member Kirith Prady for an event that showcased its community cookbook and raised funds for its mission of neighborhood beautification. From stuffed grape leaves to pasta salad to hummingbird cake, attendees enjoyed samples from an abundant spread of dozens of dishes that were made by members from the cookbook’s recipes submitted by local residents and businesses. Some restaurants, including Prosecco Trattoria and Lakeside Golf Club, also cooked up their foods featured in the cookbook to share with guests. Each attendee received a copy of the book so they could make their favorites at home.
