Pets of Toluca

Featured Pet: Frankie

by Toluca Lake Magazine | May 1, 2023

The self-assumed mayor of Toluca Lake who kisses babies and greets every local resident as they pass by, Frankie is famous for his unquenchable appetite for life. This gentle 3-year-old boy has a track record of scarfing down food and deconstructing any toy he gets in just two shakes of a lamb’s tail. Frankie has a relentless passion for furry animals, except when it comes to his bitter rival, Chainsaw — part squirrel, part tactical mastermind who ransacks the patio plants when Frankie’s snoozing. But Frankie never chooses violence; he’s a lover, not a barker. In his spare time, when he’s not dreaming of grassy fields of tennis balls, he enjoys hanging out at local spots like Bob’s Big Boy and Forman’s Tavern and posing for his Instagram stories.

Toluca Lake loves its animal residents, and they deserve the spotlight too! If you want to share your pet’s tale, send a photo and brief description to stories@tolucalake.com and we might feature it online or in an upcoming issue.
