On April 1, 45 pups took to the streets with their pet parents for a Toluca Lake dog walk hosted by Jennifer Landon and her team at Landon Realty Group. Inspired by Doggie Day L.A. — a free community fundraising event hosted by Landon Realty Group in 2019 — the event was an opportunity for neighbors to enjoy a break from the rain and connect with the community again.
“Each pooch received a commemorative bandana at the start of the walk, and a medal for completing the .9-mile course after enjoying their stroll through the idyllic streets of Toluca Lake,” Landon says.
A craft coffee bar hosted by Landon Realty Group and donuts provided by House America Financial were also available for participants. Sponsors of the event included Landon Realty Group, Chandler Robbins of House America Financial, Ambeezy’s Organic Dog Treats, Coffee Steamers and Good Dog K9 Training, while Bark n’ Bitches Dog Rescue served as a special guest.
In addition to the fun times had by all, over $850 in direct donations was collected for Bark n’ Bitches. The local dog rescue group’s founder, Shannon von Roemer, was present to accept the donation and enjoyed the walk with a recent foster intake that is up for adoption.
A local real estate brokerage since 1999, Landon Realty Group is excited to open its new office on Riverside Drive this summer. And according to Landon, residents and their four-legged friends will have a second opportunity to gather in the neighborhood later this year.
“The walk was so well-received that we are committed to hosting another one this fall,” she says.
