On the last Saturday of each month, Toluca Lake residents and business owners join forces in a community cleanup organized by the Chamber of Commerce. Shannon Hartman began the event in September 2020 to counter “the weight of hopelessness in our business community,” she says. “Since then we have become a tight-knit group!” In October, 12 volunteers pitched in to keep the streets pristine. The next event is November 30, starting at 7:45 a.m. at Priscilla’s with free refreshments.
