Barker Posie is a 7-year-old border collie, Australian kelpie and pit bull mix — in other words, a handful. Before her family adopted her from the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation, she lived in three different households in a single year and ended up being returned to the rescue each time. It turned out that she just needed to be in a place without other animals, with people who understand her. She’s in training to work on her issues from her difficult childhood and has brought nothing but joy, laughter and love to her forever home. In between her three walks a day, she earns treats working as the “chief security officer” protecting the house from danger.
