Bongo is an 8-year-old border terrier mix who was rescued from San Bernardino and adopted from Wylder’s in Studio City. The smart, friendly and photogenic fellow serves as a mascot of past Toluca Lake resident Doris Day’s Animal Foundation and is trained to be a support animal. He travels everywhere with his human parent, a TV producer, and enjoys making some famous friends along the way (including Carol Burnett!). When Bongo is at home in Toluca Lake, he loves his daily walks, meeting other dogs, going to nearby parks, dining on the patios of local restaurants and greeting shop owners with a wagging tail.
Toluca Lake loves its animal residents, and they deserve the spotlight too! If you want to share your pet’s tale, send a photo and brief description to stories@tolucalake.com and we might feature it online or in an upcoming issue.
