It’s that time of year again, when our neighborhood’s gift for creativity and connection surges to its highest levels with a series of seasonal celebrations. Spectacularly spooky Halloween displays give way to dazzling holiday lights as we look forward to gathering for cherished Toluca Lake traditions like the Turkey Trot, Holiday Open House, Kling Street Kids and Magical Holiday Parade.
It’s no coincidence that all of these events are focused not just on fun, but also on giving back — building community, supporting our local businesses and donating to charities that serve our neighbors in need. The spirit of generosity shines in Toluca Lake all year long, but it bears special meaning during the holidays as we reflect upon and share our blessings. That’s why we at Toluca Lake Magazine make sure to devote space in our winter issue to highlighting a few of the many inspiring nonprofits making a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable community members. We’re so thankful to the donors and volunteers who make their efforts possible, and we encourage you to consider ways you can give to the causes close to your heart this season and year-round.
Speaking of people dedicated to serving our community, please join me in congratulating the Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce on its 85th anniversary this year!
