The Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce hosted a sponsor appreciation mixer on March 27 in the private dining room at Verse, celebrating the success of its recent 85th anniversary commemoration and recognizing the community members who made that possible. “This event was all about showing gratitude,” president Taylor Montana says. “We wanted to personally thank everyone who supported the Chamber’s 85th anniversary banner campaign, and Verse gave us a perfect setting to do that — elevated but still warm and inviting, right in Toluca Lake.”
The colorful banners sponsored by local businesses and residents began adorning Riverside Drive between Camarillo and Hollywood Way in November and will remain in place for a full year. With designs highlighting the neighborhood’s local film and TV studios, small businesses, midcentury charm and rich history, they create a vibrant and visible collective tribute to the enduring relationship between the Chamber and the Toluca Lake community.
At the mixer, attendees enjoyed drinks, small bites and great company while connecting with fellow sponsors and community leaders in an atmosphere full of the neighborhood’s signature warmth and friendliness. “One of the things that stood out to me was how natural the conversations felt,” Montana notes. “It wasn’t overly formal, it just felt like neighbors and supporters catching up and celebrating what we were able to accomplish together. The main message we wanted to send was: this campaign couldn’t have happened without your support, and we’re truly grateful.”
