OGÈ Aesthetics & Wellness

As a Toluca Lake resident for more than 15 years, OGÈ Aesthetics & Wellness founder and owner Ameachi Ajakwe feels deeply connected to the neighborhood’s distinctive sense of community. “It has a small-town warmth in the middle of Los Angeles,” she says. “It is tranquil, established and values quality over excess. People here appreciate consistency, privacy and authenticity.” That spirit of balance and intention mirrors the philosophy behind her Burbank-based aesthetics and functional wellness practice, where innovation is paired with compassion and evidence-based care.

“Ogè” means “time” in Ajakwe’s native Igbo language — a concept that anchors her approach. “Time is the one thing we all share, yet experience differently,” she explains. “I don’t believe in fighting time. I believe in working with it.” Rather than chasing trends or dramatic transformations, OGÈ focuses on respecting the aging process and supporting how patients want to feel as they age. The goal is timeless, natural-looking results achieved through balance, subtlety and restraint.

“Timeless results are rooted in respect,” Ajakwe says. “That means acknowledging that ‘natural’ isn’t a single standard; it is deeply tied to a person’s heritage and unique anatomy. My philosophy honors that identity instead of altering it.” Ajakwe has experienced aesthetic care from practitioners who didn’t fully understand her skin type, resulting in complications — an experience that shaped her practice. “We never treat a face as a trend or a blank canvas for a specific look. Instead, we emphasize cultural integrity, ensuring that treatments respect ethnic features such as bone structure and skin pigmentation. Using a lens of balance, subtlety and restraint, we enhance what already exists.” By planning conservatively and with the long term in mind, she ensures that as patients age, their timeless essence and confidence are restored through a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance.

A board-certified nurse practitioner who began her career in internal medicine, Ajakwe approaches aesthetics through a comprehensive medical lens. While the practice offers minimally invasive treatments such as dermal fillers, microneedling and platelet-rich plasma (PRP), its philosophy extends well beyond the surface. OGÈ also provides wellness services including medical weight management, sexual health support, and IV and vitamin therapies. “You can’t separate internal and external health,” she says. “Skin, weight, energy and the way we age are deeply connected to hormones, nutrition, inflammation and stress. When we address those internal factors alongside aesthetics, outcomes are more sustainable — and patients truly feel better.”

For Ajakwe, aesthetics has never been about chasing perfection — it’s about alignment. At OGÈ, external refinement is thoughtfully paired with internal balance, inclusivity and medical excellence, so results are not only visible but deeply felt. By honoring time, identity and whole-body health, Ajakwe has created a standard of care that allows patients to age with strength, authenticity and confidence.
