Steve Hampar founded Hampar Properties with one clear purpose: to provide every client with the highest level of service they deserve. His sense of care, accountability and stewardship defines both his community involvement and how he serves his clients. “I measure my success not by how many yard signs bear my name, but by my ability to guide each transaction to a successful close while ensuring my clients feel informed, supported and confident every step of the way,” he says.
A graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business, Hampar earned his CPA license shortly after graduation while working at an L.A.-based accounting firm. That strong foundation in finance and operations proved invaluable as he helped drive the growth of his family business, which became the largest independent blender and packager of petroleum products on the West Coast before its successful sale. This extensive background in business strategy, financial management and large-scale operations laid the groundwork for a long and successful career in real estate.
In 2002, Hampar entered the real estate realm as a broker associate, and a few years later he joined the Keller Williams Burbank office. In 2010, he took the next step by launching Hampar Properties, combining his entrepreneurial experience, financial expertise and deep local knowledge into a boutique firm built on trust, performance and long-term relationships.
Hampar is also widely recognized for his longstanding service to the Toluca Lake community, where his leadership, consistency and willingness to step up have left an enduring impact. Soon after he joined the Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce in 2005, there were discussions about launching a pancake breakfast fundraiser to support local Fire Station 86. Hampar volunteered to lead the effort, and what began as a modest idea quickly grew into a cherished community tradition. For several years, Hampar chaired the event alongside an amazing Pancake Breakfast Committee, helping to raise vital funds for Station 86 and the Widows, Orphans and Disabled Firefighter’s Fund. The event strengthened the bond between residents and the firefighters who serve them, a legacy that continues today.
That same year, after experiencing a burglary at his own home, Hampar transformed a difficult moment into a catalyst for positive change. He helped revitalize the Toluca Lake Neighborhood Watch, which under his leadership became one of the strongest programs of its kind in the city and earned recognition from the LAPD. Today, it continues to thrive under strong new leadership and with a communication network of more than 40 dedicated watch captains, nearly one for every street, whose quiet commitment makes a meaningful difference each day. “A heartwarming byproduct of the program has been reuniting neighbors with their lost pets, including dogs, cats, and even a pot-bellied pig and a tortoise,” he adds.
Among the roles he values most, Hampar has served as president of both the Chamber and the Toluca Lake Homeowners Association (TLHOA), advocating for residents and local businesses alike while working to preserve the character, safety and close-knit spirit that make the neighborhood special. Last year, responding to a rise in burglaries across the city, he worked alongside a committed TLHOA safety committee to revive the National Night Out Safety Fair and organize a community town hall focused on public safety, bringing together the LAPD and city leaders, including District Attorney Nathan Hochman, to address residents’ concerns directly.
“What makes Toluca Lake truly special are the people,” Hampar says. “It has been especially gratifying to work alongside such civic-minded neighbors to ensure that Toluca Lake remains the quaint and storied village generations have cherished.”
Hampar Properties offers both residential and commercial real estate services, as well as investor-focused solutions such as 1031 exchanges and portfolio diversification.
