The Toluca Lake Homeowners Association (TLHOA) held its annual food drive in support of the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry on June 7. With statistics showing that one in four L.A. County households experienced food insecurity in 2025, the drive provided much-needed aid for local families struggling with hunger or homelessness by gathering gifts of food, pet supplies, toiletries, diapers and formula, paper and plastic bags, and other essential items. Donation boxes at Gelson’s and Priscilla’s Coffee collected additional items from those who couldn’t attend the drop-off event.
Just a few days later, the Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce held a successful community blood drive for the American Red Cross at the Hampar Properties office on Riverside Drive, with all donors receiving a $20 gift card from Priscilla’s as a thank-you. Both events were organized by Terry Herkner, and as always, the outpouring of vital help and heartfelt care shown by community members was moving and deeply appreciated.
