Blessing of the Animals

On Sunday, October 2, bring your cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, goldfish, horses … for a blessing following Harmony Toluca Lake’s 10:30 a.m. worship service (4301 Cahuenga Blvd.). It’s a perfect Sunday to bring a friend — human or other, as we celebrate all of God’s creatures!
Also, to mark this annual occasion, Harmony is gathering donated goods for the Dr. Doghouse Bully Crew Rescue. Its mission is to rescue homeless, neglected dogs from the streets and from owner surrender or public shelters, where they are in danger of being euthanized. This nonprofit organization works with professionals to train, rehabilitate and eventually find a loving home for these wonderful dogs.
Some of the items that the Dr. Doghouse Bully Crew Rescue is looking for are grain-free dog food, towels, food and water bowls, treats, toys (especially KONG toys), shampoo, dog beds, leashes and harnesses.
Whatever you can do to participate, it would be appreciated very much!
