Toluca Lake Magazine Issue Archive

Fall 2025

In our eighth annual History Issue, we pull back the curtain to interview historian Mary Mallory, author of more than a dozen memorable articles for us over the years (including a story in this issue about Studio City’s lost Hollywood Country Club of the 1920s) as well as a new book, First Women of Hollywood. We continue our tour of Valley history with a look at the career and legacy of architect William Mellenthin, then fast-forward to a profile of freshman Congressmember Luz Rivas, currently making history as the first Latina to represent the 29th District.
