After a chilly, wet winter, we’re eagerly looking forward to spring — and with it, another wonderful Earth Day celebration and Taste of Toluca.

Newcomers and longtime residents alike have told us they love learning new things about their neighborhood’s history, inhabitants, businesses and events with every issue of our magazine. We look forward to bringing you much more to love in the year ahead.

This is the time of year when special events seem to come fast and furious — especially in our neighborhood, which kicks the festive feeling into high gear at Halloween and keeps it at full throttle through New Year’s.

One year ago, we published the inaugural issue of Toluca Lake Magazine and launched our website. Since then, we’ve met so many wonderful people and discovered an endless stream of amazing local stories.

Based on the amount of reader feedback we’ve received, our Pets of Toluca section is one of the most popular features of this magazine. Locals love sending us stories and pictures of their fuzzy companions enjoying life in the neighborhood, and we love receiving them.

Just like that, it’s time to look ahead to summer! I hope our ultimate seasonal fun guide gets you excited to explore the amazing array of opportunities we’re fortunate to have nearby.
