One year ago, we published the inaugural issue of Toluca Lake Magazine and launched our website. Since then, we’ve met so many wonderful people and discovered an endless stream of amazing local stories.

Based on the amount of reader feedback we’ve received, our Pets of Toluca section is one of the most popular features of this magazine. Locals love sending us stories and pictures of their fuzzy companions enjoying life in the neighborhood, and we love receiving them.

Just like that, it’s time to look ahead to summer! I hope our ultimate seasonal fun guide gets you excited to explore the amazing array of opportunities we’re fortunate to have nearby.

One of the things we love most about Toluca Lake is its natural beauty, and from what we’ve heard, many of you agree. That’s why, for going on seven years now, Toluca Lake’s Earth Day celebration has been one of the neighborhood’s signature annual events.

While every installment of this magazine celebrates the love we feel for our neighborhood, we’re wearing our hearts on our sleeves even more than usual as we reflect on our hopes for the new year and anticipate the approach of Valentine’s Day. Around the office, we’ve been referring to this as “The Love Issue.”
