Al Hirschfeld Art Exhibition

November 30, 2017 at 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Animation Guild will have two special events showcasing 100 original works of Al Hirschfeld, one of the most renowned caricaturists of the 20th century. The exhibition will display some of Hirschfeld’s caricatures of celebrities and personalities, such as Charlie Chaplin, James Stewart and Rosalind Russell, in addition to never-before-seen drawings. With works spanning seven decades — from 1928 to 1998 — the show will explore the range of techniques used by Hirschfeld and chart his evolution as an artist.

Every piece on display will be available for sale. Proceeds from the sale of this artwork benefit the nonprofit Al Hirschfeld Foundation and its mission to promote interest in the visual and dramatic arts.

Admission is free.

Special guest for November 30:
Katherine Marshall-Eastman, archives manager at the Al Hirschfeld Foundation
